Framed Floral Bouquets
These bouquets start with assembling a “nest” of complementary objects that will eventually come together to make the flowers. The objects I use can be anything from china or glass plates and cups, to ceramic or glass flowers and leaves, ceramic lids, vintage enamel pins, retro curtain tie-backs, buttons, napkin rings, salt and pepper shakers, ashtrays, and various other interesting bits and pieces. Next, I match these items with a vintage vase, and then search for a vintage/used frame that will work with the color palette and proportions of the other items. Finally, I coordinate the bouquet assemblage with colorful vitreous glass tiles to make the mosaic background.
